pastor_davidDear Calvary Family,

All of us want to make a difference, and we feel privileged when we are asked to be a part of something that is having a positive impact on others.  I believe that God has given us just such an opportunity through our "Claim the Land" campaign.

During the month of March, I will be asking you to reflect on the blessings God has bestowed on your life as well as in our church.  God has been gracious and good hasn't He?  Certainly, we can't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude and anticipation as we look forward to what He has in store for us in the years that lie ahead.

I am confident that as a result of our "Claim the Land" campaign, new doors of opportunity will be opened for us.  With the purchase of the property, we will have the potential to broaden our ministries, provide additional spiritual nurture for God's family, and increase our ability to reach more people in our surrounding communities with the gospel. Reaching our goals will be a great challenge, but I am grateful that God has brought us to this point in our history, and I am confident He will enable us to fulfill His plan for us.

The "Claim the Land" campaign challenges all of us to do something out of the ordinary, and give sacrificially over and above our current financial commitments to our church for three years.  It focuses on our willingness to respond to the Spirit's prompting.  Each of us is asked to pray, to seek God's will, and then give out of gratitude for God's grace.  I genuinely believe that God has been preparing our church for this challenge.  Let's enter into it prayerfully, trusting God to lead us in the process.

Please take time to examine the information on the “Claim the Land” website carefully.  With a heart of gratitude and expectant faith, I'm asking you to consider your part in this campaign.  Rest assured, the amount that is given is a personal decision between you and God, but what we are able to accomplish through your sacrificial commitment will benefit many in the days to come.  May God bless you and may He glorify Himself through us.

In His love,

David J. Skelton
